Flatbed, Step Deck & RGN Freight Broker
Lumber, steel, machinery, building materials and golf carts on flatbed, step deck, RGN and conestoga. C1 Freight moves open-deck and heavy-haul freight across Texas, the Southeast and the Midwest, and between the US and Canada, through vetted carriers.

What Is Flatbed Shipping?
Flatbed and step deck trailers load from the side or top, so freight that can't go through a dock door, or needs a crane or forklift, can still move. They're the standard for lumber, steel, pipe, machinery, building materials and other heavy or oversized freight.
Step deck adds height clearance for taller loads, RGN handles overweight and oversize equipment, and conestoga adds a rolling tarp system when freight needs to stay covered.

When to Use Flatbed or Step Deck
Freight that can't load at a dock
Side or crane loading for long, wide or heavy pieces.
Taller or heavier loads
Step deck for taller machinery and golf carts; RGN for overweight and oversize equipment.
Weather protection
Lumber tarps, steel tarps or conestoga when freight must stay dry.
Partials on open deck
Share a step deck with other freight and pay only for the deck space you use.
Open-Deck & Heavy-Haul Equipment We Arrange
Tell us what you're shipping and we'll match the trailer.

Flatbed
For lumber, steel, pipe and building materials that load from the side or top.

Conestoga
A rolling tarp system for freight that needs protection without manual tarping.

Tarped Flatbed
Lumber tarps and steel tarps arranged when your freight needs to stay dry.

Step Deck
Lower deck height for machinery, equipment and golf carts that won't clear a standard flatbed.
RGN Trailers for Overweight & Oversize Loads
When freight is too heavy or too tall for a step deck, we arrange removable gooseneck (RGN) trailers. The neck detaches so equipment drives on, the low deck keeps tall machines under height limits, and extra axles carry overweight loads.
Excavators, dozers, cranes, drill rigs, transformers and mining equipment. Permits and routing are arranged before pickup, across the US and between the US and Canada.
