What Is Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) Shipping?

Less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping is used for smaller shipments that don’t require a full trailer. Your freight shares space with other shipments, helping reduce costs while still maintaining reliable delivery.

Partial truckloads usually ride direct on one truck with fewer handoffs, which makes them a good fit for freight that shouldn't be rehandled.

It’s ideal for palletized freight that needs to move efficiently without paying for full truckload capacity.

  • Costs less than booking a full trailer
